I was wondering if petty would create a team in the nationwide series now that he doesn't have a moral obligation to his mother to stay out.

I knew he never ran a beer decal but what was the reason for nationwide? I know it use to be the busch series but thats been a few years.

That's what I was referring to.

Possibly in immediate years after the switch, Richard may have decided that too many people view it as the Busch series despite it technically being the Nationwide series. Maybe.... who knows (probably fiscal tho)

Richard Petty Motorsports had Budweiser sponsorship on the #9 car two years ago...

I imagine that was because GEM had a prior contract with Bud. Who knows.... That's something I never realized at that time.....

Since the GEM merger, Richard has been a bit more lenient with the beer logos on his cars. He agreed to allow them on his cars, EXCEPT the 43. He said that the 43 car will still NOT carry any alcohol logos on it.
