Ford got the first shot in this season by winning the pole for the Rolex 24. IMO it's especially pleasing because all the preseason hoopla was over the new Corvette DP car. Unfortunately, there are more upper echelon teams using the Chevy than Ford so an overall win is probably not in the cards but at least we upstaged 'em for one day - well, actually for 2 days since the race doesn't start until Saturday.

Still over 5 hours to go but up to this point the Ford DPs have dominated Daytona. Let's hope all continues to go well until 3:30 this afternoon.

On a beautiful sunny day in Daytona Beach, Ford/Riley DPs swept the podium at the 50th running of the Rolex 24. Dominating the event from start to finish Ford completely ruined the heralded and overhyped debut of Chevrolet's Corvette DP entries. It was a thing of beauty!!

Ford won the pole and the race for both the Rolex Series today and the Continental Tire Series on Friday. A great start to Daytona Speedweeks, now let's go get 'em in the 500!

i was shocked that Ford went 1-2-3 in the 24. no doubt a great achievement, it being the 50th was just icing on the cake
