    Bill Is Back

[ARTICLE=Bill Elliott & Walmart Team Up For Daytona In July]Walmart announced Thursday that they will expand their merchandise program in 2012, the 50th anniversary of the retail giant. Whilethe merchandise partnership isn't new, Walmart will take to the track for the first time with a Chevy built by Turner Motorsports and driven by Bill Elliott. However the effort, as of now, is for only one race; the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona in July. The company wanted to get on the track this year with the #50 Chevy and Elliott to help celebrate the 50th birthday of the company in July and just wants to 'have a lot of fun with it', said Rand Waddoups, senior director Entertainment Properties and Brands for Walmart. The company has no shop has hired no personnel and has no plans beyond the single race. 'But we have six months yet', Waddoups added. (NASCAR Examiner)[/ARTICLE]

    Wonder why not the 500?

    Re: Bill Is Back

Question number #1 was answered in the article. It says Walmart is celebrating their 50th anniversary in the month of July.

Which race is most noteable in NASCAR?
    A) Daytona part 2
    B) Kentucky
    C) Loudon part 1
    D) Indy

Since Indy isn't a huge spectacle in NASCAR, the choice is obvious.

Answer to number 2. He's a past champion with a provisional. Plus he's done decent when given the 21. Cannot use the results from 2011 because he wasn't in a car that was going anywhere in the first place.
    My favorite drivers:
    Cup: 39, 00, 5, 16, 21, 87, 9, & 31
    Nationwide: 21, 16, 87, 11
    Truck: Johnny Benson, 31, 62, 88

Bill has run very well at indy, even in the but yeah Daytona makes the most sense i guess being anyone can win in a plate race.

It's gotta be the provisional because other than that he's dead weight......don't see where he was so decent in the 21 in 2010 AND that was 2 years ago. Can't imagine he's gotten better in the meantime. I think they'd be better off (not that I want ANY Chevy team to do well) with someone who can still drive.
