Maybe Jack Roush should stay home

I noticed Jack Roush in Biffels pit at the start of the race and as usual of late Jack's Fords can't finish the job.

Maybe Jack should let his crew chiefs call the shots and he should stick to reading spark plugs.

If it's not Jack's fault then he needs to replace his crew chiefs because none of his teams seem to be able to adjust to the changing track conditions.

Biffel leads 86 laps but finishes 20th (pathetic)

Well the Administrator can't complain that my comments might be to negative but than I belong to a rather large negative group after this Michigan race.

I was also disappointed that Biffle couldn't close the deal because of these circumstances. I openly root for him every week and I honestly expected a couple of wins by this point in the season considering how much better the RFR team had been running this year.

This season started off with such promise. I don't know what has happened of late but the Fords have got to get their act together if they plan to win some more races this year.

They DID Chandler crew chiefs on the 16 just a few weeks ago though - have to give the change time to work.

I don't know what has happened>>>>>>The garage area was in a Down Mode for to long. I hope it hasn't effected our chances for winning the Cup Championship but we would need an up swing and fast. Lot of damage done. We will have to wait and see. Hope for the best and the best would be FORD WINNING CUP CHAMPIONSHIP. (at this point any FORD Driver will do) As far as Biffle I think it's to late to even make the chase.
Would really like to see Kenseth take it but I think thats a long shot too.

I feel your pain. Biffle & Kenseth seemed to be running away with it, until it got down to where it counted. Then Biffle disappeared and Kenseth sharted backpedaling through the field. Add to that, Carl's troubles and it made for a miserable, frustrating day. Only bright spot was the Nationwide race. The worst part is, now Kyle Busch & Jimmie Johnson seem to be really gaining momentum. What happened to the FR-9 advantage?

Cobra don't go blaming the FR9, heck they blew everyone off during qualifying. The power was there but our CC couldn't keep up with the track changes. Biffle stated he thinks he had a set of bad tires. you know what......... I'm tired of all the excuses, when the other teams had the same track changes . "you have got to have team spirit, which IMO is lacking, without it you ain't going anyway. I was hoping for a real change at Michigan now that everything has settled down, but I see it may take a little bit longer.

Yeah, I'm wondering if the whole Edwards contract uncertainty thing going on for so long got into everyone's head. Wouldn't think that would take away the ability to adjust to changing track conditions or fix handling problems, though. This is really disappointing & baffling. I think that was Biffle's best shot at making the chase going down the drain. Would've been good to at least see 3 of the Roush teams in the chase. Would be even better to see one of them win it. Of course, I'm partial to Edwards.

oh please...don't go laying blame on Carl/contract on everyone else running crappy....That has nothing to do with CC's and Engineers.....It is affecting Carl, but NOT THE OTHER THREE TEAMS....I HATE THAT all the RUMORS were floating around, and as a huge Edwards fan,it kills me to say this, but IT HAS EFFECTED HIS TEAM RIGHT NOW,and I hope they can get back to the top...

Again I ask what is the one common thing about the Roush teams?
I have always liked Jack Roush as he is a true blue Ford guy but I get the feeling that "Jack always knows best"
Two weeks ago at Watkins Glen he was interviewed just before the Grand Am race when he had Stenhouse and Regan in a GT mustang. The interviewer asked him about his past history in road racing and Jack's words were like " I have more experience in road racing than all these other teams combined"
I was taken aback with such brash talk from somebody who has not road raced in the upper classes of road racing in years. Needless to say Jack's Mustang did not fare too well after running behind the Camaro's for most of the races they faded to the rear at the end.

Until Jack Roush turns the race day calls over to his crew chiefs completely like Hendrick and Gibbs do he will always struggle to be the top team.

Remember Jack fired crew chief Todd Parrott this year because of some "disagreement". Todd Parrott has more experience and more big race wins than any of Jack's other crew chiefs.

The reason the Roush teams are not the top teams is completely Jack's fault.

First I want to get one thing straight...........I am not a fan of Roush. You can't be a fan of Robert Yates and still be a Fan of Roush. ((can't help it I NEVER FORGET) but in no way can you blame Roush. I totally disagree with most of your comments.I also don't believe he DOMINATES his CC. He lets them do their job and when they stop doing their job he gets rid of him.

Todd Parrott has always been my TOP CC but since the COT became the NEW CAR OF NASCAR he stared to play the guessing game when it came to the setups.Todd was struggling and being the VERY PROUD MAN that he is, probably didn't ask for help. If you remember Roush was suppose to share technical help with YATES after Robert started sharing his engines but that never happen

Well that almost finished it for Todd and now he seem to be back ,at least I sure hope so..

Supposedly Jack did not like some things Todd was doing (testing the limits of the rules) so he was let go.
Carl has also made some comments about Jacks' making calls in the pits.
I really think you play by Jacks' rules or you are gone.

Let's be honest in NASCAR if you don't "test" the rules you don't win very often.

Now this time I will agree with you about 95% but as you stated lets be honest............If I owned the Team and things just weren't working right, I'd throw a few STRONG suggestion out too. Wouldn't you???LOL
As far as Carls comments about Jack making calls in the pits, You can't always believe what he says ROTFLMBO JOKING

Sounds like Jack really had to eat some humble pie to get Carl re-signed. He commented that he'd never been questioned like that before. You gotta love it! I think Carl just might have bent Jack's rules a bit & fortunately, Jack was smart enough to realize he'd better play along this time. As for the overall crew chief situation, I'm also mystified that they can't seem to come up with the adjustments the other teams seem perfectly capable of making. Of course, we're mainly talking about Kenseth's and Ragan's crew chiefs in the Michigan race, as Carl's car failed before we had a chance to see what it could do, and, face it, Greg's crew chief is still a rookie, at least at the Cup level. I'm not convinced firing Erwin was the right move, despite the lackluster performance.

I'm not convinced firing Erwin was the right move, despite the lackluster performance...............I have to agree so far but most ALL will disagree with me , when I say I was hoping Doug Richert was calling the shot. I don't know what happen to split them up but sometimes things happen to quickly . I would love to see these two try it again. JMO With Roush your in and than your out, if he thinks your not doing the job. Could be the Driver who might think that's what he needs at the time. In any case I believe that was a big mistake.
