He's been out of a job for a few months now -- they offered him something to drive, so he took it. Can't blame him. Ford bailed on him.

I just came back here before I read your answer. After thinking about the message I just left on this forum and realized FORD BAILED OUT ON HIM. I doubt whether he would ever come back to FORD. FORD should have given him help. He had been LOYAL to Ford for a very long time and it was a bad decision by Ford. JMO

I agree. Rick was a great spokesperson for the FORD brand. It was a sad thing to see when they had to close up Circle Bar Racing because Ford completely pulled their help from his team.

It still feels strange to see Chevy after his name. It just doesn't look right and I wonder how FORD feels when they see Chevy's name after a VERY LONG TIME LOYAL FORD FAN

is Ford ever going to get back in the CWTS, ever since i've been following NASCAR they've been non-existant compaired to Toyota & Chevy.

i started watching in '07 because my good friend started working for WBR when it was WBR/JTG. at that time they did have field the 21 & i think 09 trucks.

Ford and Dodge used to have some powerhouse teams in the truck series, PPC Racing, Circle Bar, Roush for Ford & Bobby Hamilton Racing and others for Dodge. But, I don't know that we'll see them get back into the series. It's unfortunate, but that's where I think we're at right now. In fact, I don't know if Chevy will continue to stay in the series or not for much longer. Apparently, the manufacturers aren't seeing much return on their investments into the truck series. (Mainly, I think, because NASCAR let Toyota come in with an advantage and destroy all of the other teams.)

What was the advantage? Certainly not when it come to sales. FORD out sells Toyota. What is it they have in Nascar that we don't? Ohhhhhh I know ---MONEY

Umm... Toyota is the top selling manufacturer BY far. Not Ford, sadly.

Toyota does have the money though, and NASCAR let them come in with a little bit different engine to help them out and it ran other teams out of the series or to start running Toyotas.

I guess Ford knows where they need to invest their funds better than I do lol. It's just not that fun to watch the trucks when there's at best 3-4 F-150s running in the field & the 10 truck runs the "best" usually 3+ laps down.

I was under the impression that the F-150 was the truck mostly sold in the USA

It's just not that fun to watch the trucks >>>> thats exactly why I have stopped watching the Truck Series and I bet many of the Truck Series Fans felt the same. I read about Crawford racing this weekend and that was the reason i watched.

That is correct, I misread your comment before. I thought you were talking about total sales.

The Ford F-150 is the most sold vehicle in the US for twenty-some years running.
