Martinsville gets 2 races through at least 2015

The Virginia Tobacco Commission today awarded the Martinsville Speedway $1.5 million, which the Speedway will match, for a total of $3 million. The money will be used for track upgrades. As a part of the deal, ISC had to agree to running 2 races a year at the track for at least the next 5 years.

I was very happy to hear this on the radio this afternoon!! We've been worried about MVS losing a race for some time. Nice to be "set" for a few years at least!

I don't see Martinsville losing a date in the next decade or more. We only have 3 short tracks, they aren't gonna take away from that.
