Thumbs up Blaney in a ford???????????

Just when Blaney thought he'd use the down time watching the racing career of his son, Ryan, Dave got a call from [#36 Chevy] Tommy Baldwin of Tommy Baldwin Racing. "We tried to run Bristol [Aug. 21], but didn't make the race, but, between Baldwin and the #38 Ford of Front Row Motorsports those two cars I'll probably run the majority of the races left." As Blaney spoke, he was en route to Statesville, N.C. to finalize his plans with the Front Row team that Blaney will run 6 races for. He'll run five or six others in Baldwin's #36.(Vindicator), no word which races for which team yet.(8-25-2010

Andrew what are your thought on this one? I was surprised but I think this is a good move for FRM

I know he is older but he is also good. I also like JJ Yeley and he seems out of a ride too. I know Doug wanted him as a driver when Robert was talking about merging with the Haas Team.

Dave Blaney is decent. As far as drivers that FRM is capable of getting, he isn't a bad choice. As for Yeley, I don't think he's got what it takes to run stock cars. He crashes far too often and never showed any potential when driving Gibbs Cup and NW stuff...

I think Blaney is a good choice. Yeley crashes FAR TOO often to be in a good ride. He had a good shot with Gibbs and blew it.

Blaney Tapped to Drive for Front Row

Dave Blaney will be back in the driver's seat next week at Atlanta Motor Speedway, taking the wheel of the #38 A&W All American Food Ford for Front Row Motorsports. Blaney will practice and attempt to qualify the car for the Emory Healthcare 500, a race that the #38 team must make on speed. The team intends to run the entire race. Blaney has 350 starts in his 13-year Cup career. The Atlanta event will be his first time driving for Bob Jenkins' Front Row Motorsports. Front Row also fields entries driven by Travis Kvapil and David Gilliland. The third Cup Series entry was driven in the past two race events by Tony Raines, who is still with the team.(Breaking Limits)(8-25-2010)

Blaney would do a much better job JMO

Blaney is only scheduled for 1 or 2 more races this year, I think.
