Gilliland at the top of the speed chart

I just came in and Gilliland is at the top of the chart of the first practice. Anyone following it? It would be a big boost if this held up and carried over to qualifying.

Shoot, never mind. It's only about 15 minutes into practice and he is a go or go home, so he might be the only one who has done a qualifying run so far.

I was getting excited. Front Row could use some good publicity.

Now do you REALLY think he is going to stay there? We can only hope. I know I do but than as long as it's a FORD I am happy. (in qualifying of course)

He is hanging on. Hold on David.

He backed it up in the second practice. Now if he can do it in qualifying, that whole organization can build some momentum.

Nope, not even close. When it counted, he came in 34th. Kind of disappointing after his strong practices.

His car wasn't the same as in practice. This can happen. He was very very loose. ALL THREE CARS ARE IN, now that's important.

I am glad and I also hope it stands up. I have watched David since he was Ricky's partner while they raced at Yates. He needs a break. I was hoping he would get a better ride, but who knows, he may do o.k. where he is. I am also watching Trevor Baine. I hope he also does well.

Not a problem Gerri! We are glad to have you on board.

They haven't done any practicing yet today ... raining in Daytona.
