Roush's 2011 Nationwide teams up in the air: All four of Roush Fenway Racing's NASCAR Sprint Cup teams are fully funded for 2011, team President Geoff Smith said Sunday, but its level of participation in the NASCAR Nationwide Series next year will depend on sponsorships. "We're trying to sell sponsorships and our Nationwide program is going be based upon how many programs we get," Smith said Sunday morning at Michigan International Speedway. "I don't expect to see us investing in white cars next year on the hope that something will happen. It's just too expensive." Roush Fenway began the 2010 season with two fully funded Nationwide Fords and two unfunded ones, the unfunded ones carrying plain white paint schemes in some races. And with the uncertainty of the sponsorships, the team's Nationwide driver lineup is also up in the air. "We circle around to all the Cup drivers and ask who wants to run and how many races do they want to run and then combine them with the rookies we have," Smith said. "We have four rookies ... so we're offering all of them up (to sponsors)."(SPEED)(8-16-2010)
