20+ races for Kyle Busch: #18-Kyle Busch will run a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota in 20-22 events in NASCAR's number two series teaming up with Cup teammates Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano, who will split driving duties in the #20 JGR Camry. The team will also field a full-time Nationwide effort for former truck series driver Brian Scott. (CBS Sports)(1-27-2011)~jayski

Probably similar to what Carl will end up doing. Maybe we'll have a couple of NW races this year with NO Cup drivers at all.

As opposed to NONE the last four or five years, so it's at least a start!

I know. It's a shame that we won't have anyone running for rookie of the year in cup.

^ Trevor Bayne techincally, even though he won't be running all of the races. But I DO think he will last longer than and beat Brian Keselowski for ROTY.

How can Brian be a candidate for ROTY????

Brian Keslowski can be a candidate for CUP ROTY if he runs some races, as he has expressed plans to. BRIAN, Brad's brother, not Brad. ;) Brian has only run a very few Cup races.

How? If he is running for nationwide points.

yeah, that's the question i had about ROTY, can Trevor run for that. ROTY is a different points system where they only take the top 16 or 17 races but idk.
also i wonder about the OPs still, how they will be counted.......i'm guessing they haven't changed but i haven't heard.......sorry about the thread getting so off topic lol.

I hadn't thought about whether he'd be eligible for ROTY in Cup or not if he's running for NW points. I'm not too sure he will be now that you guys mention it.

During the Q&A the other night, NASCAR said that would be addressed. We'll see what they decide. The ROTY points are separate from the actual points so they may allow it.
