Wonder if that was something required by RPM? Their drivers don't seem to have any beards/etc...
I know Jack Roush does not allow his drivers to have facial hair.

I didn't realize that about the Roush drivers. The King does has one of the most iconic facial hair of all time though. Menard's sideburns also aren't as long as they used to be. I'm glad to see Menard running well this year though. It's always nice to see different people running well.

Remember when Brad signed with Penske, he shaved his goatee off. I don't remember if that was his own doing or Penske telling him.

It was Penske telling him, because I recall Brad saying that when he signed with them he needed to maintain a good image.

It's getting scary. Another thiing that Roush and I have in common. You got to admit Paul looks a heckava lot better without that bush under his chin

Yeah, looked like he booted Kyle... lol Paul finished p14 and is hanging in the top-12 Chase spot...I read where Slugger told him to stop letting drivers get by and it looks like he toke Sluggerfs advice LOL I'll try and find where Slugger gave him this advice Oh here it is--------------
SLUGGER LABBE, Crew Chief - No. 98 Menards Ford Fusion (Menard finished 14th)
"We got caught up in that one wreck and had to pit. I think we ended up pitting 19 times today and to come back and finish in the top 15 shows the character of this team. Not many people expected us to be where we're at and we don't quit. We work and we work smart. We decided to get two tires there at the end for some track position and it paid off. That's just the way it is - it's Martinsville. All of the fenders and the whole body is beat in, but that's what you expect at a short track."
THIS HAS BEEN A BREAKTHROUGH YEAR SO FAR. AT WHAT POINT DO YOU START THINKING THIS COULD BE YOUR YEAR? "I hope so. I think some of the drivers aren't really happy that we're up here running this good. Obviously looking at the body, we got beat to death today. Right there towards the end, Paul made it three-wide for a lap-and-a-half and he stood up for himself. That's what I've been telling him. I've told him, 'You deserve to be here. They'll give you the respect, but you've got to go out there and get it. If you keep moving out of the way, they'll keep doing it to you.' So he stood up for himself and we had a good finish. The points will keep coming and as long as we keep running in the top 15, we'll be fine."
Good Advice
I don't understand why that would be a rule. I've heard of it before, but, honestly, I think it's idiotic. Hair doesn't make your image good or bad. Paul looks better with his hair than w/o imo.

It's a professionalism thing... no facial hair looks more professional.

I'm happy to see Paul having such luck at the beginning of this season, hopefully it continues for him, It's definitely nice to see a new face up in that top 12. Now just need to see Jamie up there again ;)

That's a matter of OPINION. For me, it could go either way. It depends on the person.

In most cases, NO facial hair is considered professional. It's NOT an opinion, it's the norm. Look at every company CEO out there -- you won't find one with a beard, etc.
...wow has this topic gotten WAY off the subject of drivers making the Chase!!

There wasn't anything "wrong" at our old site, per se, but it is still nice to have our own server and many more features on this site. :) Please let me know if you have any questions or trouble finding anything here! :D

I do like the Quick Reply I very rarely use smlies but they were there if needed. I know i will get use to it. Everyone loves the change so will I eventually. LOL
BTW Where is delete or is cancel there for the same purpose? I'll be damed, I tried deleted a message of mine but kust could not do it. Andrew you had to do it. Remember?????

Yep. Didn't it help Gordon win at Martinsville before? :pWait for Fuel Injection in 2011 that Hendricks guys are helping Nascar to design. Just another way for Chad to sneak in Traction Control. I read somewhere with FI it would be easy to sneak in Traction Control.

And we digress further from the original topic, but who cares... we'll do better once Cup racing comes back this weekend.

The "go advanced" tab is there if you want the full post interface with smilies, and other features. Quick reply simply enables you to do just that, make a quick reply without having to change pages. You just type in your reply and you're done! They both work basically the same, so it's a matter of personal preference, really. Most of the smilie codes are very simple such as :) and :( for happy and sad smilies.
As for deleting posts, I don't think you are able to do so. Posts can only be deleted by an administrator (myself, DeeDee, or speedfan).
SEE----- this us what I mean I went to the wront person I was quoting. I forget its now at the bottom of thepersons message, OH Well THE HECK WITH IT. It's just me
When you need to change something in a post, however, you don't need to delete it. Simply use the "edit post" feature found at the bottom of every post you make.
Also, just as a matter of information, here are some of the smilie codes:
:) - Happy face
:( - Sad face
 - Laughing
:D - Big Smile
;) - Wink
 - Cool smile w/ shades
:p - Tongue smilie
 - Shocked
:-x - Mad
Hope this has been at least somewhat informative, and if not, feel free to ask more questions.

Nice solid top 15 for Menard. They've run well at all types of tracks so far this year- I hope they can keep it up.
