After Bristol they were thinking of switching points between the #37 and #38 due to the 35 rule. I hope I have misunderstood what I read. They just can't hand David this garage all over again. They feel David could get into the race on speed. (in those cars yea) My next question "and than what???????)I don't get it. Not only would one car be out of the 35 group, both of them may just end up having to race their way into the race. JMO there isn't any chance of that happening not with those cars.:roll:

I can certainly understand the reasoning behind such a move. Kevin Conway has a sponsor, but he is very inexperienced and hasn't shown any speed on qualifying day to be able to make it into these shows on speed. After Bristol, barring a good run that moves him back inside the top-35, he won't be locked in anymore. David doesn't have any real sponsorship (other than Bob Jenkin's restaurant chains), so it is more acceptable for David to potentially miss a race or two or five. The cars simply don't have very much speed on q-day, so I don't know that David will be able to get them in either. Guess we can hope for a good run by Conway at Bristol so this change will not be necessary.

This is still quite a risk, though. If David can't qualifying into races because the cars are too slow, then this will put that car further out of the top-35. Then if Conway continues to under-perform, he could also fall out of the top-35, thus crippling the team with 2 cars possibly missing the show each week.

Instead of having 2cars running in the top 35 FRM will only have one. Now where does this make any sense.

It makes sense in that it will keep their only real sponsor, Extenze, in the races for a few more weeks at the least.

it's mean of them to do it, but I wouldn't be surprised
