New Ford engine to run at Talladega: Ford Racing's 'FR9' engine will take another step toward full implementation this weekend as all cars under the Roush Fenway and Richard Petty Motorsports umbrella will be running the new piece at Talladega Superspeedway. This will mark the first points race in which a majority of Fords in the field will have the 'FR9'. At Daytona, teams ran it in practice, qualifying and the Gatorade Duels, but only Bill Elliott, Matt Kenseth and Elliott Sadler ran it in the Daytona 500.(Ford Racing)(4-20-2010):D

I'll be there this weekend. David is usually pretty good there, so I hope to see him up front this weekend.

Thanks everyone- the chance of rain on Sat is now up to 80%, but fortunately the chance of rain for Sun has gone down to 20%.

Was just going to say the same thing, Jenny... National Weather Service says there could be tornadoes in the area Saturday -- be careful!

I was happy with how Ragan's car worked in the race- got up to the lead several times and seemed to have a real strong motor in there. Just didn't have any help when he needed it.

i would have to say that so far the engine itself has been pretty good. dunno the details of the minor hiccups (carl's vibration in practice, kasey's spark plug) but i've been pretty pleased that we haven't had any blowups to report....seems good to FINALLY roll it out @ daytona full time.

I believe Carls issue was transmission~As for David,it was awesome seeing him running up front, and he seems to be getting the feel for plate racing:) I hope he does well this weekend~
