ARCA driver Steve Arpin will make his NASCAR debut next weekend at Talladega when he drives the #7 car for JR Motorsports in the Nationwide Series, JRM co-owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. told SBNation.com on Friday. Arpin, a 26-year-old Canadian, will also run the Richmond race in JRM's 7 car the following week. Landon Cassill was originally scheduled to drive the Talladega and Richmond races but will return at Dover.(SB Nation)(4-16-2010)

Wow ... they really have issues over there. You can't have this much turnover and expect it to work.

Arpin won the ARCA race last night....and seems to be having a good season in that series, currently leading in points.
I guess it wouldn't hurt to give him a shot over Cassill, who wasn't overly impressive in his previous stint with JR/Hendrick Motorsports.

Still, JR Motorsports is constantly turning over drivers like this. It's excessive.

I agree.
Junior says he's auditioning young drivers for 2011, but he's not really giving any of them a chance to get acquainted with the cars and crew which is important to the success of any raceteam...

(...or he could be trying to get Arpin's sponor, Mike's Hard Lemonaid, to make the move to the NW series? :~: )

This is Mike's first (and only scheduled as of now?) race on Arpin's ARCA car, isn't it?

Edit: Mike's Hard Lemonade is sponsoring Arpin at Texas and Talladega only.

Gotcha!
Last night's race was only the second ARCA race i've been able to watch this year (Daytona being the other)...I was actually kinda surprised to see that on a car. Looks like it paid off for them, though.

Oh, and Mike's IS a very good summertime beverage, btw. ;)

MMM..I love Mikes Hard Lemonade~Cranberry is very refreshing as well...:P

JR needs to be consitant, and will sponsors want to stay,if JR keeps pulling drivers???

There is no sponsorship on the 7, so that's not really a concern...

Can't say I'm surprised. Looks like Danica and Arpin are now their only drivers...

Cassill hasn't really been impressive in his NW runs despite being in good stuff.

I think he got up to at least 2nd in the race. I don't know really anything about him, but he seems to have a good future ahead.
