What do you think?

TeamBlueOval

My opinion ... he should be suspended from Truck races for the rest of the year. Don't think they should pull him from the Cup car.

what did he do

I didn't watch the truck race. What is wrong with that guy? I also read the article on Nascar. Hope he doesn't pull any of that stuff on Sunday.

I think he should be parked from all series for the remainder of the season. What's to say he won't do that on Sunday?

TeamBlueOval
11-04-2011, 10:01 PM
He won't do anything like that on Sunday because he knows he'd likely be faint a serious suspension.

I only saw the replay of the incident . I voted Yes - for the rest of the year in all series! But I doubt that will happen. Hopefully they will park him for rest of the weekend.
What an idiot

I agree!
fine, probation, and no more truck races this season...but I wouldn't blame Hornaday if he really does go ahead and buy out some 'start-and-park' ride just to pay Kyle back on Sunday...

Did you lose your mind for a few seconds there? Gotta love it!!!!!

All I saw was that replay, but let's put it this way--NASCAR is nuts and inconsistant on the boys have at it rule. So God only knows how they will decide.

Personally, a shot like that is a real jerk filled move and I'd park him for 2011. That's not what "boys have at it" is for.

I thought this was worth reading right up front LOL---Thanks DeeDee love the LINK

UPDATE ... NASCAR WILL MEET WITH KYLE BUSCH BEFORE SATURDAY MORNING'S CUP PRACTICE (WHICH IS AT 8:45 a.m. EASTERN) TO DISCUSS THE INCIDENT WITH RON HORNDAY. NASCAR MET WITH KYLE BUSCH FOR LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES ON FRIDAY NIGHT AFTER THE RACE. ... In the media center after the win, Kevin Harvick said of Busch: "He's going to grow up or he's going to have swollen eyes.''

HORNADAY went to the NASCAR hauler (he wasn't called there by officials) after Kyle left and said: "If NASCAR doesn't (park Busch), I'm hanging around, and I'm going to buy Tommy Baldwin's ride and that guy will never finish another race. That's a promise. He's got to be parked. They did it to Harvick at Martinsville.''

Hornaday was reminded that the Harvick parking was in 2002, which Hornday said: "So, let's have at it? So I can go over and beat his ass and let's have at it? He lives too close to me. We'll see what NASCAR does. If they don't handle it right, I'll be over at his house Monday morning.'';)

I love that from Hornaday - YES - buy out Baldwin's car and give Kyle what he deserves!

Word on Twitter is that McDowell was Getting in the 18 to see if he fit. Draw your own conclusions of what that means.

Well not that I disagree that he should be parked, but further proof of the inconsistancy & confusion of the "boys have at it rule".

Joe Gibbs takes responsibility, agrees with NASCAR suspension of Kyle Busch

Joe doesn't look too happy in the picture.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall when Joe talks to Kyle.

i'm thinking that the M&M's brand doesn't want to be associated with that type of consistent behavior & should consider coming over to roush to sponsor the :17:

Well if M&M wanted the Consumers attention, they sure pick the guy to give it to them. Every week all you see is M&M (bad or good)

The 'new and improved' NA$CAR shows inconsistancy in enforcing their "rules" week in and week out.
...of course, when you've got a guy like Kyle Busch who makes frequent trips to the NA$CAR hauler throughout the year, I can see where they might just get sick of dealing with him and do what they did Saturday...or maybe they really were afraid of some kind of on-track payback from Hornaday, or his always classy car-owner, that could ruln the day for whoever they want to win the Championship this year. :~:

Gotta agree with yatesracing here, good or bad, negative or positive...people do see the M&M's logo a lot more now than they did back when Gilliland and Sadler were driving their racecar. ;)

But Elliott was a more popular driver than Kyle. If I remember correctly wasn't he voted consistantly in the top 5?

NASCAR has fined Kyle Busch $50,000 and placed him on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31 for his actions during the Nov. 4 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. Kyle Busch violated Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) of the 2011 NASCAR Rule Book. NASCAR took immediate action, parking Busch for the remainder of Friday night's event and maintaining the parked position for the NASCAR Nationwide and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway. On Monday, the parking directive was lifted by NASCAR. In issuing Monday's penalty, NASCAR went on to say that "if during the remaining NASCAR events in 2011 there is another action by the competitor that is deemed by NASCAR officials as detrimental to stock car racing or to NASCAR, or is disruptive to the orderly conduct of an event, the competitor will be suspended indefinitely from NASCAR."(NASCAR Integrated Marketing Communications)(11-7-2011)

Kyle Busch has been 'removed' from the M&Ms Racing website!

...the crew is still there, no mention of their driver.

Interesting!!!!!! Maybe switch sponsorship between Joey and Kyle? Home Depot put up with Steward all those years so maybe they would put up the KB also. idk

Joey fits the 'image' m&m's seems to be looking for, and Home Depot was reportedly looking for someone who would contend for wins on raceday (even Carl, at one point). Kyle would certainly win more races than Joey with that car...but didn't Home Depot threaten to pull sponsorship from a young Tony Stewart over similar antics, and altercations with reporters and officials, several years back? I believe Gibbs had to step in and smooth that over, as well...

thinking about it more i have a feeling Kyle will stay as well as M&M's for the cup deal. though i wouldn't be so sure about his NW venture next season that he's planning on. we'll see.

I see a place for the crew, but it has no profile of the crew.

But I believe they forced Tony into anger management after punching the reporter

Here's the crew: http://www.m-ms.com/us/racing/team/crew.jsp
No driver listed, though....

Tony was also "fined" $50,000 by his '02 sponsor, which was donated to charity...of course he went on to win the championship later that season.
