Will a driver not in the chase, stay in the 13P no matter how many points he gains within the last 10 races?
Which would be logical I guess. LOL

I heard an interview on Sirius with AJ Allmendinger where they discussed that topic. The answer is "yes".
Another ho-hum race yesterday for Edwards & Kenseth. Does Jack have another software simulation problem?

Ahhhhh come on Cobra, Loudon is the worst track for the Roush Drivers (not an excuse but a fact) but it looks like they might be getting better at it. FOUR FORDS in the the top 8, heck I was expecting the Roush Fords a top 15 being a possibility. I'm shock but HAPPY.
It's about time.......... we may not have been the winners but we weren't big loser either for A GAS MILEAGE RACE.

What I find boring are these Gas Mileage races. I don't like to see drivers, any driver holding back because some guy in the pits decide to tell his driver ("LET SO AND SO GO BY, WE NEED TO SAVE GAS) Thats BS JMO

The reasons for sponsors signing up part time for a season. They watch to see if they driver has a good chance of being in the chase before committing them self to the full season. You can bet once you guess (approximately)how the chase is going and no chance of their driver making the chase, the asking price by the teams will go down too. JMO

The Chase has always been this way, back when it was only 10 drivers they gave the guy who finished 11th $1 Million, but now with the 12 driver field that has gone away. They can still race for wins and run up front. Running up front is what gets you TV time anyways, yes the Chase drivers get the extra spotlight but if you run upfront you are also in the spotlight

What you say is probably true but if I were a Sponsor I'd be dam if I would pay top dollar for being the best car of the loser. .............

Which would be logical I guess. LOL 1P-12P started the Chase with 1,000 extra points. So even if the driver in 12P finished last in the 10 races and the driver in 13P won all the races he wouldn't be able to pass him in the points.
