Who gets fired first?

Well, it seems that the dominoes are starting to fall and drivers are starting to be let go early this year.

Who will be the first CUP driver (start and park teams don't count) to be released from their ride?
Also--which Nationwide driver with a competitive team could be on the way out the door (other than Townley of course, since we know he's in trouble)?


Just this week Kelly Bires, Mike Bliss, and Aric Almirola have all been let go... who's next?

Scott Wimmer doesn't even drive for them. :roll: He had a 2 race deal and its over. Landon Cassill is in the 7 now for 4 races.

Well, call it what you will, but I wouldn't want to drive for that team right now if my name wasn't Danica Patrick.

Everyone here knows that I'm not a fan of Junior, but it's not his fault. He didn't choose to fire Kelly Bires, the sponsor made him. It's hard in today's economy to tell a sponsor to take a hike... you have to take the sponsorship money when it's offered. And, if you are a corporation writing a $3-8 million check to be on a race car, you would probably want to have a pretty big say in who gets to drive "your" race car.

That's how I see it... it's not JR Motorsports fault... if you want to blame someone, blame Hellman's.

As for Danica Patrick, that's a prime example of the sponsorship thing. She is bringing MILLIONS to the team, so she gets what she wants. That's just how big time auto racing works and its going to be like that for a long time...

Maybe Kelly Bires should start doing "slutty" commercials,and HE can get sponsors.....LOL
