Edwards plans to bike to Gateway again: Tuesday night on SIRIUS NASCAR Radio, hosts Buddy Baker and Alex Hayden spoke with driver Carl Edwards, who said he once again plans to ride his bike from his home in Columbia, Missouri to the July 17 Nationwide Series Race at Gateway International Raceway outside St. Louis - a roughly 200 mile trek.
Host/Alex Hayden: "So traditionally you've taken and ridden your bicycle from your home in Columbia, Missouri to race the Nationwide Race over at Gateway, just outside of St. Louis. What's on tap this year? Any kind of exotic trips to and from the racetrack?"
Carl Edwards: "We're going to try to do that again. The group has gotten bigger and bigger each year and I got a new Trek bicycle, it's really nice, that they're going to let me use for the ride. We've got a couple of people who say they're going to go. [Driver] Max Papis says he's going to go. Jim Schertzer from Scotts [Miracle-Gro Company] says he's going to go. I'm trying to get some of the Aflac folks to commit to it but it's a fun trip, man.
