200 Starts for Edwards: #99-Carl Edwards is set to make his 200th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start at Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday, April 10 in the Subway Fresh Fit 600. His first start came at Michigan International Speedway on August 22, 2004 where he started 23rd and finished 10th. In 199 starts Edwards has earned 16 wins, 61 top-five, 102 top-10 finishes and four poles. He has completed 57,461 laps and led 2,599 of them. His best finish in the point standings came in 2008 when he finished second, only 69 points from the championship. He has made the Chase four out the five years he has competed full time in the series. Of drivers who have started 200 races from 1972-present, only six have more wins that Edwards on their 200th start: Jeff Gordon (45), Jimmie Johnson (27), Darrell Waltrip (25), Tony Stewart (19), Rusty Wallace (18) and Bill Elliott (17).(Roush Fenway PR)(4-7-2010)~

That's a pretty solid group of drivers to be associated with as far as wins in 200 starts! :) If Carl wins this weekend, he could tie Bill Elliott with 17 wins in 200 starts. :D Go Carl and the 99 team! :)

I'm kind of surprised he has that many starts already but Carl has been racing a good 5 years at least. It doesn't seem that long though.
