You were my hero back in the 80's, bringing all the Ford fans lots to cheer about.
Now you are driving a Brand X that has no chance of competing.

We want to remember you as a Champion Ford:9: driver not some back marker Chevy driver.

Hey RSD he even has his SON in a Chevy . I don't think there is any hope for Bill. Once you go down that muddy track IT'S OVER. SORRY

I cant believe the rides Bill has been taking. He's a champion of the sport though and he deserves to continue driving if that's what he wants to do IMO. It isn't like he chose to leave Ford this time - the Woods replaced him.

- the Woods replaced him.>>>>and his Son. Please don't say Bill had nothing to do with that.

i'm still a fan of Bill. i still don't know the whole story behind the :21: whether Bill went to hendrick b/c of Chase being with them or if the woods told Bill he was out of the ride & hendrick jumped on Chase immediately afterwards. either way, i still like Bill for what he's done for the woods when they were down.

Is it my imagination that Carl's Teammates are ignoring him????????????

What the heck is Bill doing today? He has just got out of the car and JJ Yeley is in. ?!?

@Yates, it's your imagination. Carl is running with Ambrose. He doesn't need one of his teammates. They are doing fine.

i'm thinking Bill was used for his pcp to make sure they got in the race?

Still, why would he get out mid race? Yeley will NOT get the points, Bill does.

i I was thinking the same thing. Maybe he didn't like the 2 car hook-up type of racing.

JJ was running pretty good with Terry Labonte when he got in the car. So, the car was decent ... why would Bill get out? It just confuses!

I attended the June MIS races from 1983-89 and saw Bill take home the checkered flag in 1984,1985, 1986 and 1989. I'm glad I didn't go to the June race in 1990 when Bill had a half a lap lead with a dozen to go when his engine expired due to a slow oil leak. To make matters worse, Earnhardt inherited the lead and won. Good thing I didn't go, as it was bad enough having to stomache Earnhardt winning the June 1987 race at MIS. Davey Allison would have passed him for the win if the race was a lap longer. And those two June races are the only times Earnhardt ever won at MIS, as he never won one of the August races. It takes a smooth driving style to win at MIS, which was not part of Earnhardt's skill set.
